Save the Date Card Etiquette..

I chanced upon a website and have read this article. Found it very helpful that i decided to re-share it here at my blog. It's all about save the date cards and its etiquette

Enjoy reading.

--------------------------

Not sure when to send your save the date card? Wondering if you really need one? Don’t

fret! Here are some helpful tips about save the date card etiquette.
  • Save the date cards are announcements viewed as a preliminary invitation to your wedding.
  • Save the date cards should be sent at least four to six months before your wedding day, and at least two months before your wedding invitations.

  • Save the date cards aren’t formal or even a necessity, so feel free to personalize them creatively!

  • They’re important primarily if many of your friends and family need to travel to your wedding, if your wedding date falls on or near a holiday or if your wedding location is seasonally busy or a popular vacation destination. Ideally, sending your save the date cards 9-12 months in advance is recommended if your wedding falls into any of these categories.
  • Save the date cards provide your guests with ample time to request days off from work, make travel arrangements and organize babysitters or house-sitters. With proper notice, your guests will be able to make your special day an extended special vacation. A thoughtful gesture is to provide guests with additional information to help facilitate their travel, like tips on local special events or points of interest and any group discounts available.
Your guests will appreciate the advance notice of a save the date card as well as cherish it

as a unique keepsake of your unforgettable event.

Happy preps!

Oh My Gown :-)

Choosing the right wedding dress is one of the most exciting phases in wedding planning. And believe it or not, the bride's wedding dress is also one of the most anticipated so it's really important to choose a wedding gown we love. Ever since we planned about this wedding 2-3 years back, i've started digging on magazines and websites for gorgeous wedding gowns. The seemingly limitless options is very much overwhelming. I had a hard time choosing the right dress for me. I found them all, gorgeous!

With several choices on my list, i narrowed them down to few choices until i come up with my most loved wedding dress.

 Which design should i choose?

I like simple mermaid style wedding dress which would emphasize my figure

I also like flowy A-line wedding dress which looks really comfortable and easy to move around with

But most of all, I love ball gown wedding dress which make me feel like a Queen while wearing one

I would love this back detail for a Beach wedding...

I would also love this kind of dress for a beach wedding...

And this one too...

How about you? which style do you like?

Inspiration 101: Short Bridesmaid Dresses

I'm still on the lookout for bridesmaid dresses for my girlfriends. Basically, i've found short bridesmaid dresses more sophisticated and simple. One reason i suppose, my bridesmaid would wear short dresses is that they can use it again at anytime and anywhere they want to. But then again, i haven't come up with the final decision.. yet!

So far here are some short dresses i got on my list.

Have fun surfing!

Happy preps!

Inspiration: Pink Bridal Shoes

What gets me more excited with the wedding preps? It is choosing fashion my way. Such as choosing my own wedding gown, accessories, styles, and even bridal shoes. And speaking of a bridal shoes, i don't wanna go with the traditional white ones i want a platform pump( preferably peep toe) in PINK. I'm a sucker for high heels and wedges :) All because I'm petite that's why i love to wear something that will boost me some height especially when i'm with hubby. If only i could wear 10" stilleto on my wedding day (to make me look really tall) i would..haha Hmm..why not? lol

So far, here are some inpirations i got, for you to have an idea what my wedding shoes may probably look like. These shoes makes me drooool. Love to have 'em all..  haha

Ideas 101: Wedding Church

We've been planning for our church wedding for months already but we don't come up with anything yet. So after hubby and i discussed about our wedding date, budget and some related stuffs, we decided to 'officially' start the prep by choosing on which church we want to hold the wedding ceremony. then will reserve or probably confirm at once.

Date check: It's 17 months to go before our preferred wedding date.

Our prime choice of Church:

Sanctuario de San Antonio Parish

This is our first and primary choice. The location is posh and not to mention the air conditioned-interior with long aisle.. I always wanted to walk down on a carpeted and long aisle..Well you know, to maximize my "bridal" moment. It's my Big day anyway so i think its just fair if i make the most of my "big" day.

Both of our kids were Christened here. And i really hope we'll be wed here as well. I inquired already and will be setting the payment next month and will also confirm right away to secure our date. We only have a limited budget that's why a venue nearby (Makati or Manila) which is accessible would be sufficient. We don't want to splurge, i just want it to be small and simple.

Rates: Php25,000
Reservation fee: Php5000 then will need to confirm after a month of reservation.

St. John Bosco Parish

 Shrine of St. Therese
This is the nearest classy church from our place. It is located across Naia terminal 3. When i first saw this place i instantly fell in love with it. I'm already day dreaming to be wed here. The church's interiors were magnificent. And it has a long aisle leading to the altar. I think its also air conditioned. Unfortunately, when i went there to inquire, the parish's office were closed and according to the guard, they're hosting an event for priests from different places. So i guess i should get back next week or will call them first. We heard the rates here is Php 40, 000. Gosh! Now i'm holding back my dreams of wanting to be wed here, practicality just come in mind. I don't want to overspend on church alone. It's really not practical for me. But if we don't have any other choices, then i guess we'll just see.

Rates: Php 40,000
